And there are no easy ways to find out. Before you decide on the best home based business for you it is important to do a checklist of everything you want to achieve. How much money do you want to earn? How much money do you need to earn? How much time do you have? What do you like to do? What do you have expertise in?

All of these questions, and lots lots more, bear on finding the best home based business for YOU. So spend some time on some introspection. Examine your wants, your needs, your motivations. Then and only then decide on what is the best home based business for you.

But here are some suggestions for finding the best home based business.

These are just some of the things that were important to me in finding the best home based business for me. They may or may not be for you, but I think that you should always consider some or all of these factors when looking for the best home based business opportunities.

This is not an exhaustive list, and is in no particular order of merit. Just a few of the things that I wanted to see.

1. Low capital input.

2. Low risk.

3. Fun.

4. Doesn't require specific expertise.

5. Flexible, particularly flexible hours.

6. Has high earning potential if you work hard and work smart. Not based on an hourly rate.

7. Offers the opportunity to earn passive income, ie if you stop work then the income doesn't stop.

8. Allows you to work together with your current job for a while.

9. Intellectually challenging.

10. Creative.
